How to enable 2FA
How to Enable Two-Factor Authentication (2FA) on Your CatFee Account
To further protect your CatFee account and funds, we strongly recommend enabling Two-Factor Authentication (2FA).
Once 2FA is enabled, you will need to enter a 6-digit verification code generated by your authenticator app when logging in or performing important account operations. This adds an extra layer of security to your account.
1. Download an Authenticator App
We recommend using one of the following authenticator apps:
Google Authenticator
Official download and setup guide: https://support.google.com/accounts/answer/1066447
Microsoft Authenticator
Official download page: https://support.microsoft.com/account-billing/download-microsoft-authenticator-351498fc-850a-45da-b7b6-27e523b8702a
We recommend downloading the app through the official website, Apple App Store, or Google Play. Avoid installing authenticator apps from unknown sources.
2. Open CatFee Security Settings
Log in to CatFee.io
Go to Account Settings
Open Security
Find Two-Factor Authentication (2FA)
Click Enable
3. Connect Your Authenticator App
After enabling 2FA, CatFee will display a QR Code and a corresponding 2FA Secret Key.
Open Google Authenticator or Microsoft Authenticator:
Tap “+” → Scan the QR Code displayed on CatFee
If you are unable to scan the QR code, you can manually enter the Secret Key shown on the page.
Once successfully added, CatFee will appear in your authenticator app and generate a 6-digit verification code that refreshes automatically.
4. Complete 2FA Verification
Return to CatFee and enter the current 6-digit verification code displayed in your authenticator app.
Click Confirm.
Once verification is successful, 2FA will be enabled on your CatFee account.
5. Back Up Your 2FA Secret Key
This step is very important.
When enabling 2FA, please securely save your Secret Key / Backup Key.
If you lose your phone, replace your device, or accidentally delete the authenticator app, you can use this key to restore access to your CatFee 2FA.
We recommend keeping your backup key in a secure offline location.
Never share your:
CatFee account password
2FA verification code
2FA Secret Key / Backup Key
with anyone.
CatFee staff will never ask you for your password, 2FA verification code, or 2FA Secret Key.
6. What If You Lose Access to Your 2FA?
If you:
Lose or replace your phone
Accidentally delete your authenticator app
Lose your 2FA backup key
Cannot access your 2FA verification codes
please contact CatFee using the email address registered with your CatFee account and request a 2FA reset or recovery.
To protect your account and funds, we may require additional verification to confirm account ownership before resetting your 2FA.
Security Recommendation
For better account security, we recommend using:
2FA + a strong, unique password + securely stored backup key
Even if your account password is compromised, 2FA provides an additional layer of protection for your CatFee account and funds.
