# How to Join the Whale Vault Project?

To participate in the Whale Vault program, you’ll need to authorize **`Delegate Resources`** and **`Reclaim Resources`** permissions, allowing us to manage the Energy and Bandwidth in your account on your behalf.\
You may also **optionally authorize** the following permissions to enable smart strategies and unlock compound returns: **`TRX Staking (2.0)`**, **`Vote`**, and **`Claim Voting Rewards`**.

### **I. What is Authorization?**

The TRON network supports account authorization, allowing one address (the delegate) to perform on-chain operations on behalf of another (the owner), including resource delegation, resource reclaiming, staking, transfers, and smart contract calls.

**Required:** Delegate Resources, Reclaim Resources\
**Optional:** TRX Stake (2.0), Vote, Claim Voting Rewards\\

### II: Create a New Permission

To participate in the Authorized Energy Project, you must grant CatFee the permission to delegate and reclaim energy on your behalf. This is done by creating a new *active permission* in your Tronlink wallet.

You can do this via either the Tronlink Mobile App or the Tronlink Web Extension.

#### Option A: Tronlink Mobile

1. Open Tronlink and tap the **User Icon**, then go to **Wallet Management**\

2. Tap **Permission**\

3. Tap the **Add Permission** button in the top-right corner\

4. Fill in the permission settings provided by **catfee.io**, then tap **Confirm**\

5. Tronlink will prompt you to approve the transaction. A **network fee of 100 TRX** is required

#### Option B: Tronlink Web Extension (via Tronscan)

1. Click **Stake** in Tronlink to open **tronscan.org**\

2. Navigate to **Permissions** in the left menu\

4. Click **Add Active Permission**\

5. Fill in the permission settings provided by **catfee.io**, then click **Add**\

6. Click **Save** to complete the process. Approve the transaction when prompted. A **100 TRX network fee** is required\

### III: Activate Your Wallet

After creating the new permission, please **contact CatFee support** to activate your wallet and finalize the authorization.
